Company Introduction

Company Name: Silver Manufactory Holdings Co., Ltd

Year of Founding: 1952

Mainstream Products: Plastic Toys and Electroplating Toys

Brief History:

The founders of Silver Manufactory Holdings Co. Ltd. (“Silver”), Ms Lai Kit Fong and her husband, first opened Chun Fat Plastic Products Factory (“Chun Fat”) on Jervois Street, Sheung Wan in 1952, processing pacifiers for export. In the 1950s, Chun Fat grew in scale and moved several times: first to To Kwa Wan, next to Sai Wan, and then to Kennedy Town. In 1967, they restructured and renamed Chun Fat into Silver Mfy. Holdings Co. Ltd, which primarily manufactured make-up toys. At the same time, the company began to invest in properties and the stock market. In the beginning of the 1970s, the factory was again relocated to Wong Chuk Hang. In 1981, Silver moved the production line to its new processing factory in Hetang, Xinhui. Since the site was not very inconvenient to access, the factory later moved to Bao’an. After moving its production to Mainland China, Silver developed their OEM business for overseas brands such as Mattel and McDonald’s, bringing a golden age to the company. In the 1980s, the three sons of the couple joined the company and officially took over its management by 1988. In 1995, Silver established a new company in Sunyick Plastic Products (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd in Bao’an. Around that time, all production in Hong Kong was terminated.
