Business Support

The Festival committees also rallied the support of large enterprises. Sometimes it took the form of sponsorships. Some of them provided support in other ways, such as lighting up the exterior of their buildings, sending their companies’ floats to the processions and directly hosting or organizing specific events. At the central level, support came from large enterprises including the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, the power companies and Hong Kong Gas while at the local level, local shops and businesses were mobilized.
